ANTIBODIES Artist Statement

We are each a contortion of our ideals, and constructions of others’. Put-ons on pedestals. We’ve been framed. It stinks inside this box. Guilty of disassociation. One person’s uniform is another’s costume; all dirty laundry. Concealed carrion, ready for the reveal. Impenetrably skin-deep, amplified by materiality. What’s underneath? Power to the peephole. Societal fluidity will follow that of gender, guided along by the unseen hand of pandemic. Resiliency is never determined without force. Seek mindfulness in the maelstrom. Shape-shift thru fascist grip. May this disfigurement be sensual, body-positivity the antibodies. A reminder for the remainder: we all test positive for weirdness. Make yours willfully, wonderfully wild.
